1985-87 studied illustration at Swindon School of Art whilst gardening part time
1987 won Readers Digest/AOI Young Illustrators Award

Illustration work: This has covered a broad field, usually book illustration but also some advertising and editorial work. Clients include: Country Homes, Heinemann, Hodder and Stoughton, Longmans, Oxford University Press, Macmillans and Victor Gollancz. Recently I have been involved in two local community projects, the first based on recording in on-site paintings a new housing development and its impact on the environment. This was followed by a project interpreting the course of a stream that flows through the area where I live.
Commisions: Recently, people have been asking me to produce artwork that embodies what they feel about the garden spaces they create and love. These commissions are a sort of partnership between myself, as the artist, and the client. An initial visit and discussion with some preliminary sketches would be free within a 50 mile radius of Crewkerne, Somerset; I would have to ask for expenses for any distances greater than that.
